About Us

The Vine Street Ensemble is a performance group of professional classical string musicians in Champaign-Urbana, IL lead by violinist Amanda Ramey. We specialize in performing live music throughout Central Illinois at a variety of events, including wedding ceremonies, receptions, and banquets. Amanda performs at events whenever possible and works with Champaign-Urbana professional musicians to fill out the groups.

Amanda Ramey, violin

Amanda is a violinist who has worked professionally as an orchestral musician and chamber musician. She has performed with many orchestras in the Central Illinois area, including Sinfonia da Camera, the Champaign-Urbana Symphony Orchestra, Heartland Festival Orchestra, and the Peoria Symphony Orchestra. She is the Operations Manager for the Champaign-Urbana Symphony Orchestra and teaches private violin lessons at the Community Center for the Arts. Amanda has an Artist Diploma in Violin Performance from the University of Illinois, a Master of Music in Violin Performance from the University of Colorado Boulder, and a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from Baldwin-Wallace College. She currently lives in Urbana, IL.
